Easy Nine Patch Quilts

Hello dear blog friends.......sharing some work in progress pictures of my latest easy nine patch quilt top made in blue and white this time..........the fabrics are mainly blueberry delight from modafabrics but i added a few extras from my stash as well.......
..........the flowers are from the garden.......bluebells of course and minnow narcissus, big daisies and newly flowering soloman's seal..........
.........i'm loving the vintage modern feel of these fabrics and i always love nine patch blocks .....
..........it's been a great year for bluebells in our garden with many more popping up in all kinds of unexpected places........we have both english bluebells and spanish bluebells and i love them all.....
........the blue and white nine patch quilt top is now finished and in the to-be-quilted pile........
...........below is the red and white version made last year in bonheur de jour fabrics (also moda).......
.........the pattern for the easy nine patch quilt can be found in my etsy shop link in sidebar......
............this one is cosy and has a real vintage style.........
...........i used it a lot last year in my christmas decorating and photo shoots..............
..........meanwhile here is a picture of the cottage garden with its pretty spring flowers....one gorgeous pink tulip still blooming .........
..........and now it's lilac time too.........the nostalgic scent is so special and brings back so many memories.....and we had some lovely blue skies this week (on some days) and were able to sit in the warm sunshine yesterday...........
...........thank you for dropping by lovely readers and for your sweet comments and messages............wishing you a happy may with sunshine, flowers and crafty inspirations ........back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Love your nine patch quilts Helen ... your pretty blue and white one reminds me so much of Delft pottery.
I have both kinds of bluebells too, there's such a difference in them, isn't there!
No lilac sadly but it always reminds me of my childhood garden as we had one, such a nostalgic scent for me.
happy weekend lovely,

Another lovely post .
Love the quilts and the flower photos.
I have some lovely blue bells , blue, pink and white .
They were passed down the family, for years I worked out they are well over 300 years old if not more.
Have a great weekend hugs June.
