Home Is Best

Hello again dear readers.......back today with a cosy homely post.....we are all in lockdown again here...the home is best mug took on a new meaning recently.....
.....(the quilt being sewn here is my lucky fish quilt)....
.........just stitching in the kitchen on a sunny but chilly day.....there are biscuits in the red and white cornishware jar......
.......the quilt top was made last summer but it has been languishing in the to-be-quilted pile for months....now it's coming along quite fast and is a pleasure to hand quilt....
........we have seeds to plant and bulbs to look forward to as well as enjoying those delicious flowering hyacinths in the picture above....
......looking forward to gardening again and there are buds on so many plants and trees and shoots appearing everywhere in the wintry cottage garden......
.....cosy homely times.....hubby is working in his study upstairs much of the time.....
.....and i move between my sewing room, my studio, the kitchen and the living room.....
....it's not too bad in lockdown and as i've always worked from home i'm used to it....sometimes i do like to go out though ;).....we've had some local walks and seen some beautiful views and even some flowers...
....these are snowbells (or three cornered leeks)....hubby took this picture......
........and this was the pale blue sky behind winter trees in our park yesterday........

.........thank you for dropping by to see me here lovely blog friends...and thank you for leaving me such kind comments too......hope you keep safe and well while we wait for things to improve......take care lovelies.......... back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxx

A lovely cosy post Helen .... your quilt is so pretty!
It is so comforting looking ahead to spring and garden days again.
I too enjoy my daily walks, it has been particularly chilly this week though. :)
Happy weekend my dear,

Your quilts make the indoors look lovelier. It is nice to see flowers growing.

Yes, home is where we will be (when not at work) for another month, too. I'm so thankful for warmth and coziness. Your quilt is very pretty, and reminds us that brighter days are ahead, figuratively and actually. Have a good weekend.

We too are in lockdown since right after Christmas - so even though we are only 6-7 in family gatherings and 10 are still permitted inside - we stayed apart for New Year. Everyone does the best they can. Love your quilting on your cute fish quilt and the lovely flowers just brighten up the room. Enjoy your cozy home with tea and biscuits. Everything looks so bright and cheerful in your beautiful pics.
