Flowers and Quilts

Hello again dear readers......today's post is full of flowers (and flowery quilts too)........i love this time of year when flowers come into bloom and every day there is something new to find in the garden......
......this little quilt was made from bright scraps of floral and fruit fabrics and dotted with appliqué butterflies.....it's called the butterfly park picnic quilt and the pattern is available in my etsy shop link in sidebar.......
......we've been outdoors so much over the past week.......enjoying the warmth and fresh air and sunshine after what felt like a long winter.......lovely to have picnics again and to enjoy a cup of tea each afternoon in the garden again.......
.........the first roses opened last week and i enjoyed some in my sewing room.......
..........and here are some of the pretty pink aquilegia which often self seed so we never know where they might pop up, but they are always welcome here......
.........we had a bit of garden inspiration for the sunday quilt stacks post i did on instagram last week.....
............this little greengate jug is perfect for garden posies.........
.........in the cottage garden lots of plants are almost in bloom, and this david austin rose is looking so pretty and covered in buds.......
...........one more of the wisteria, fading but fabulous still.........
..........and the beehive (really a composter) in the *little* garden, with pots of daisies, and some rosemary cuttings.........
..........a week full of flowers and fresh air and some sewing, family time and a good book to read is just what i like.......
........thanks so much for dropping by and for the kind comments you take the time to leave.....it's always a treat to hear from you........wishing you a happy week ahead with flowers and sunshine wherever you are..............take care lovelies...........peace and love......................back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Such a pretty pink aquilegia ... mine are all various shades of yellow, I think I need to introduce some new ones ... but you're correct they pop up everywhere!
And the wisteria ....sigh! :)
Happy weekend my friend,
