Cheerful Tulips

Hello again dear readers....january can be a dark and dreary month in our part of the world, so i like to make sure i have plenty of spring flowers and bulbs and colourful fabrics to cheer up the days......

...........the big bunch of rainbow tulips has brought a lot of pleasure here over the past week......

............and here is a newly finished log cabin quilt top made with floral fabrics in spring and summer colours........

......the pattern is my vintage log cabin quilt in my etsy shop link in sidebar.......

.....i love making log cabin quilts and look forward to creating lots more with different colour themes......

......the fabrics are a big mix of scraps and pieces from my stash....lots of lovely japanese prints especially.......and some old favourites too.......

.......two of the log cabin blocks as a work in progress before they were all joined together......

............lots of pink, blue and green on one side of the block and lots of low volumes on the other......

..........a spring quilt stack below with a patchwork heart.........almost time to begin making those valentine hearts again........

............still love candle light in my pictures.......found some lovely little candlesticks on my travels around the cotswolds just before christmas.........

...........happy to be able to share my flowers and makes with other flower loving makers out there :)......
