Cheerful Colours

Hello again dear readers......it's been a busy week here...i have been very creative and inspired by making and designing....and glad to have bright flowers and fabrics around me too as some days have been so cold and grey....
........loving this purple auricula and watching it open and flower.........
..........making new quilts in bright cheerful fabrics......above is a new version of my heartstrings quilt (pattern in my etsy shop link in sidebar)...........and below is a finished quilt top made from scraps and featuring half square triangles in a pattern that reminds me of spinning tops......
..........rainbow tulips, an old botanical watercolour picture, and lots of bright fabric scraps have kept my sewing room very cheery......

...........and making a few pretty patchwork hearts filled with dried lavender scented it beautifully too....
.....the little test tubes containing valentine messages were some i found in the supermarket a few years ago.....
........below is a picture from one of our walks on the beach last week.....cold cold cold......
...........but by friday it had warmed up a little and the sun came out......this was another beach nearby, with a little cottage on it....called sally's cottage, it has often been the subject of paintings and has appeared in films too.....
..........we walked down to the beach and then along the sand....and then climbed all these steps up the cliff to return.......it was quite a climb.....
.........worth a cup of tea and piece of cake later i think......
..........thank you dear readers for dropping in to see me here and especially for the kind comments.....wishing you a bright and cheerful week ahead....take care lovelies.......back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

So many lovely makes today Helen and with your gorgeous stitching and pretty auricula and tulips there's a beautiful lavender theme going on ... one of my favourite spring colours. 💜
What a lovely walk too!
Happy weekend my friend,

The auricula are a very pretty flower! I don't remember seeing them before. Be a utiful quilting. Those steps do look like quite a workout, but better than having to climb up.

Sweet delightful pictures, Helen.
Happy Snappy Week-end. Stay warm and cozy.
NE US is getting a huge storm now and I bet that will bounce off of Nova Scotia and New Foundland
and hop right over to you. Perhaps snow?
