Merry Christmas

Hello dear readers......this is a christmassy post filled with makes and decorations around our house, beginning with some new fabric button trees made from liberty, tilda and lecien fabrics......
.........the next pictures show some beautiful festive bedding called home for christmas by sophie allport.....which i think looks lovely with my red and white checkerboard patchwork quilt.....
.........this year feels very cosy and festive....and i'm quite excited because my girls and their families will all be here on christmas day......
........last weekend my eldest girl and i went to a christmas fair where i found some lovely vintage items for my collection....including a french enamelware coffee pot and candlestitck
..........love all the twinkly lights and candles making everywhere extra cosy.....
.....we put this red and white irish chain quilt up on the wall as part of the xmas decor.......and mabel the big bunny has a new candy cane cardigan.....
........some of my quilts re made in red white and green for a festive look.....these are my daisy quilt, nautical checkerboard quilt, irish chain quilt and star gazer quilt
.....and lettuce the sugar bunny also has a new candy cane cardigan to join mabel in the festivities.....
..........a chippy cupboard with christmas quilts, vintage finds and sweet little lettuce......
.........this week i have been drying orange and lemon slices for decorations....and added a string to this pentagon ball so it makes a pretty bauble......the patterns for these, along with the fabric button trees,  quilts, bunnies and bunny cardigans can all be found as downloadable pdfs in my etsy shop, link in sidebar......
.........so enjoying these cosy festive days....they may be rather short and dark but the christmas feel is so special and all the lights and candles bring such warmth and cosiness to the wintertime.....
......thank you for visiting me here dear blog friends and for those who leave kind comments a very special thank you......this will be my last post before christmas as next week will be very busy preparing to host christmas and enjoying family times......wishing you all a truly wonderful christmas and sending love and hugs to you all.........keep safe and well lovelies...........back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Your home is filled with prettiness, Helen, and it's so true that all the lights help get us through these dark days before the earth tilts once more to the light. I'm glad you will be with your family this year - we will, too, and it's such a blessing after last year. Merry Christmas, Helen. xo
