Summer Daisies

Every summer we buy a big pot of daisies to have on the patio....some of the plants are planted in the borders later and carry on growing.............this year we found these daisies in such soft and unusual colours we had to have them........
..................i love the mix of shades within the single plant...............
................and realised the colours reminded me of my little stash of tilda bumblebee fabrics......
............so warm and soft and so pretty together........i got them all out for a little look and decided to make something new......
.................i also took some pictures of the tumbler patchwork pillow i've already made....
...............here it is with the little bear i found in a modern vintage shop....his arm was falling off but i knew it would be easy to fix it.......
............when your flowers match your fabrics.......perfect summery pillow.......
.....(the pattern for the tumbler patchwork pillow is in my book modern vintage gifts btw).....
............the garden notebook cover below also has a similar colour palette....it was for last month's crafts beautiful magazine project............
...........more of the beautiful daisies.........they are enjoying a nice drink of rainwater out there today....
............i have lots of sewing to do this week...some on a christmas theme ....some incorporating my current red white and blue crush and of course some with these soft and golden shades.........
.............i hope you are enjoying a crafty week and some beautiful colours too......
...............thank you so much for dropping by to my little blog space....it is always so lovely to see you and to read your sweet comments...........wishing you a wonderful week everyone....back soon xxxxxx

Helen,
Oh my goodness, what beautiful daisies!! I love how one plant has different shades of color. My daisies are blooming their little hearts out this year, love them, but they are the usual white and yellow. What a great line of Tilda fabrics, love the prints and the tumbler pillow is so sweet.
Thank you for sharing.

Those daisies are gorgeous! I don't think I've ever seen ones like that, what a pretty color. They do look perfect with your cushion, like they were made to be together.

Your mention of working on a Christmas themed assignment reminded me of being delighted at the store today when hearing a little boy singing "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," July 10, 2017, and thinking that it is wonderful to prepare for Christmas celebrating even in July! Your Daisies and fabrics win my admiration, as well. Teresa and I said at lunch today, that we both admire you so much, Helen, and we love to visit you here in this beautiful sweet blog that reflects your kindness and gifted creativity. Happy Crafting! xxxxxx

You elevate the humble daisy to greatness, Helen. I would never known about Bellis daisies if it hadn't been for you and now we have pots of them. These delicately coloured blooms are soft and faded like watercolours. They match your fabrics perfectly. I love the vignettes you create. You brighten up any day.
Your garden journal is gorgeous. I'm in the process of making myself a Jane Austen journal and want to add some little bits of cross stitch to that.

Gorgeous little daisies! I've never seen them with those colors. I just picked a bunch of daisies this weekend -- they're just so sweet and they're PERFECT with the bumblebee fabric. I'm so excited -- we'll finally soon be able to get Tilda here in the US -- this bumblebee line is one of my favorites!
