..........when my dear younger daughter and her new little family arrived to stay on valentine's weekend they brought me these gorgeous narcissi bulbs (and some delicious homemade scones for our family party too :)..........picture of those further down this post).......
...............the potting shed is looking ready for it's annual sort out, maybe in the next week or two it will be warm enough to potter out there and tidy it up ready for the new planting season......
...............such sweet little flowers and a delicious spring scent from them too.......
...............mr p had been doing loads of gardening each weekend, and molly has been a big help.....
............the spring flowers are blooming brightly...........all these pictures are from our garden except the top right one above which shows the daphne bush at the botanic gardens, to remind me i must buy one of these for our garden as i just love the colour and the scent.......
.................valentine's weekend tea party table.............
...............my sweet blog friend teresa kasner (whose lovely bright and happy blog is here) sent me one of her cute valentines with this adorable crochet heart inside.....such a beautiful little gift which i will treasure...........it is hanging in my studio at the moment and looks lovely there with my valentine flowers....i will also hang it on my tree at christmas time......thank you so much teresa x.................
................i have been busy making my new quilts, finishing writing my book, writing up a magazine project for a fast approaching deadline and dreaming about new things i want to make as soon as i have time.......i do love the crafty life, and i know many of you do too :-).......
...........thank you for visiting here lovely readers, and for your sweet comments....it is always wonderful to hear from you :)..............i hope you are having a happy crafty week and enjoying some february flowers and a lot of sunshine........................back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxoooooooooxxxxxx

Oh such Spring like beauty here Helen! I ADORE your pin cushion. I am awful at patchwork, but you have inspired me to maybe try something small like this. You never know, it might turn out okay! You know what they say about small acorns! It may get me the patchwork bug!
Have a super week, and I hope the spring sunshine stays for you.
Take care
Vanessa xx
So nice for you to have some flowers in your garden. It is about -2 degrees here this morning! I love everything by Pam Kitty and your pincushion is so sweet. Have a great crafty week!
Helen, it's so lovely to see spring happening at your place! Your blog always gives me a 'warm fuzzy feeling' - thank you for that. :)
Your post is so bright and beautiful, spring has certainly sprung

I agree, your blog is like Spring!
Happy finishing your book!
It's -22 Celsius, so no garden delights here, but the sun in shining brightly this morning and the sky is blue bright and pretty enough for you to like in a fabric or yarn, Helen I like seeing your sunny little projects and hope you enjoy this new week.
Karen
I really like the drawstring bag, so pretty and fresh looking too. x
The drawstring bag fabric is amazing!! That shouts spring, for sure! :)
Hello Helen! How beautiful your garden is already starting to look and hasn't Molly grown! She is such a sweet little thing! Love your potting shed and all your beautiful projects. Spring is definitely in the air! :) xx
Helen! your new pincushion is so sweet and so cute! and I love it with these fabrics!
a new beautiful thing for your sewing room!
Hyacinths are also so beautiful ...
Good week, Helen!
Annerose
Your little bag is lovely Helen, I agree that fabric is beautiful, such a sweet little pincushion too!
I love the container your beautiful little daffodils are in! I too am hoping for some warmer weather to get my greenhouse tidied, its time to get some seeds planted!
have a good week,

It has been lovely this afternoon Helen but as you say still very chilly out. Your bulbs are gorgeous, daffs are my real favourites. What pretty fabric you are working with and it looks like Molly is helping out to. Have a sunny week xx
Beautiful fabrics. Your shed looks so inviting Helen-can I come and live in it?! How wonderful to have a Valentine's weekend tea party. The cakes look so pretty. x
Hello Helen,
Your photos are always a delight for our eyes. I love the narcissi. Their pot is very pretty too.
You are so lucky to have a job which is at the same time your hobby.
I love my job but it is difficult to find time to do my beloved crafts, so I always wait for the summer and holidays to do most of my crafts.
Have a lovely week.

Aaah.. A new post - a quick spring fix for me !!! Thank you Helen, for these lovely photos !!
Hello Helen.. your potting shed is so inspiring.. I have a shed out back that I'd love to decorate up, but we need to do a sort out of the boxes stored there first. I love all your pretties you've made. What FUN to see my little heart hanging in your studio, I'm so happy you're enjoying it. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Hmmm - very interested in the way you've made the drawstring casing on your bag! I often make something similar as gifts for friends to use as laundry bags etc. Glad to hear news of your new grandson and it's obvious how enormously helpful Molly is - Flossie, my Westie, was just as helpful which is why I miss her so much. I look forward to your new book :)
What a little bit of brightness to add to my day! I love that sweet drawstring bag and those fabrics! just drool over them. I went and visited Theresa Kasner's blog (the gal who made you the darling red crocheted heart) and LOVE her blog! She lives close to where I lived for many years on the Columbia River Gorge (between Oregon and Washington, USA) so I've been reading her posts that are taking me down memory lane! I'm so glad you share your beautiful treasures, and so glad you shared her blog! Anything Pam Kitty I love... and her fabrics are my new love. Your pot of narcissas is beautiful - reminds me of my mom as she grew them along side her house, and every time we went in the back door in early Spring, that wonderful aroma would greet us! I'm so ready for spring here in Central Oregon... blue skies, but bitterly cold still. Marilyn
Another post full of eye candy. Simply delicious
Gorgeous fabrics. I wonder how I lived life without a pin cushion. I don't pick up pins off the floor half as many times. Jo x
Your posts are always such a burst of sunshine. Beautiful flowers and fabric!
Judy
The beautiful colors/patterns you use always put a smile on my face. Everything you make is just perfection! I don't know how you do it all.
I love your pincushion and your little bag. Those fabrics are beautiful. Lucky you having the chance to use them. The white print you used for the bag reminds me of some bedsheets my grandmother had when I was a child. I was always very happy to see them on the bed when I slept over. :)
I had a lovely weekend full of crafty fun. You would have loved it! I do so love all of the fabric colors you use for your projects. They have such a summer fun look about them!

Oh, now I understand - the little cushion is for pins! I thaught it is lavandula in it - for under a pillow.
Lovely colours!
Sigrun
There is such an abundance of pretty in this post - the flowers, the fabrics, the tea party, everything - it makes my day more cheerful to visit your blog.

Your home always looks like spring Helen! Beautiful pictures as always ... was very excited to find one of your books in the library last week ... it is my favourite reading matter of the moment! xx
I always get a colour hug from your blog, love the photos x
You always choose the prettiest fabrics Helen to create little treasures. How wonderful look the flowers your daughter brought in this vintage pot. I'm glad to hear that you really enjoyed your Valentine's party, it's a blessing for a family to gather and celebrate together.

Such lovely flowery, spring, happy times! Especially that gorgeous arrangement of narcissi! It looks as though it is going to be a floral spring at your house - how lovely! xx
All the gorgeous colours on your blog always cheer me up.
The daffs are popping up in our garden....but no flowers yet.
Hi Helen! Thank you again for reminding me to buy some spring flowers! Yours are beautiful and that NEW fabric on the drawstring bag is just adorable! I can understand you those Fabrics inspire you! I have more boring job to do with the codes and prices for the shop, but managed just to post about my NEW sewing room. Welcome for a visit! Happy week to you, too! x Teje
Wow those colours on the drawstring bag look good together. Spring colours aren't they.
All the best Jan
Oh, Helen...such pretty colors in this post! We need to surround ourselves with it during these dreary days! I wish I could crochet...I would make these flowers!!
You are so fortunate to get out...I love winters but this is the time I start to long gardning and enjoying the fresh air!
Thank you for the sweet comment in my last post! :)

All your lovely pictures look so bright and cheerful. Love the little drawstring bag. Feel quite jealous of your spring flowers, can't wait for mine to come up and spring to arrive. Loving the light and longer days too. Pam x
Lovely post Helen, bright and cheery. I love your little pin cushion and the drawstring bag - lovely fabric. Enjoy the rest of your week. Jane xx
Dear Helen! It looks like spring in your post! But here in Germany it is still cold and it is not possible to potter outside the house for too long. Your makings look so lovely, I do love pincushions a lot, as well. One can never have enough of them! Have a nice upcoming weekend. Viola
How beautiful are your flowers.I like the bag and the shabby material that you have used...
I'm new to your blog but i just love it so much..
Nice to meet you.
What a precious little pincushion and your flowers blooming is a boon to my spirit. I bought some tulips but they are gone now. Your Spring is definitely faster arriving then ours. I love the little crocheted heart. I've never seem one like that and it is so pretty. A Valentine Tea Party...I wish I could have been there....looks yummy!
It sounds like you are very busy but enjoying it all. I can barely keep up around here but I manage to squeeze in some crocheting and knitting but I really want to sew but I haven't done it yet. Soon, I hope! LOL!
Beautiful photo's and gorgeous colour combo's.Love that fabric so pretty.your heart is beautiful too and your garden is just wonderful.Happy creating.Hugs xx
