Cotswolds Days

Hello again dear readers.....here i am back again after our lovely break away in the beautiful cotswolds...we stayed just outside the pretty little town of burford (above).......
........and we were amazingly lucky with beautiful sunny weather for most of the week......the picture above is of an evening walk......
.........and this sunny scene is the day we visited lower slaughter.....cottages with hollyhocks....
..........and a working water mill.......
..........our cottage was old but very modern inside.......here's my weekly quilt stack picture.....
.........we went to daylesford organic farm which was beautiful and very inspiring.......
.........i took so many pictures there..........here are just a few.......
...........we also mooched around some antique shops and spied some vintage treasures.....
..........a bundle of fabric came home with me (might make one of my vintage tote bags with these) and we found a chunky, wide marmalade jar to add to my collection.....
............so many sweet cottages everywhere....pretty on pretty........
..........being away from home again was quite a change after so long being in and out of lockdown and it was very refreshing.........we walked a lot and it was so nice to see fresh scenes........

.........such a treat to see these places under a blue sky too......and now we're home again, topped up with some new memories.......and suddenly autumn has arrived......

.......thank you for dropping by to my little blog world and for your kind comments........wishing you a happy october and happy autumn days.....take care lovelies...............back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sounds and looks like a dream getaway! I've always wanted to go there. Thank you for the beautiful pictures! Can't wait to see what you make with your fabric. Your posts are inspiring! I missed you last week, but glad to see you back. Hope you feel refreshed. :-) Have a great week.

I just love the Cotswolds! Our last visit was in August 2019, so before Brexit and before Covid-19.
We loved it, not knowing we would not be able to go there for quiet a while. Maybe in 2022, or 2023?
We live in The Netherlands, so a trip overthere must be well planned, including ferries etc.
Love the look of your lovely pictures.

Yes, autumn is here, I wish you happy, cozy autumn days as well!

Beautiful photos! I hope you consider making some of them into online jigsaw puzzles. Jigsaw Explorer.com is my favorite.

What a beautiful place for a getaway. We visited the Cotswolds in 2016 and loved the charming towns and that pretty yellow stone. What fun to find a bundle of fabric that perfectly suits you! Enjoy the new week.

Helen.. what a nice little getaway you had! That village looks just darling. I live in Oregon and have never been overseas anywhere. I can only enjoy it via photos but I've always thought the English country towns are so wonderful and quaint and cozy. How fun to find a neat bundle of fabric.. it's always so exciting isn't it? And loved the photos of the organic farm. We're wrapping up summer here.. still in the 80's some days but cold nights. We'll be getting our first night freeze in another week or so. Most of my flowers are wilted and getting brown, though there are a few hanging on, which I love. Enjoy being home again. I always think.... I love getting away, but then I always love even more, getting home to my sweet haven. xoxo Marilyn
