September Sunshine

 Hello everyone....here we are with some little deer to show you today......
 ..........the pattern for these little critters is in my new book home sweet home sewing....
 ...........the flower bag pattern is in there too.....i do love fabric toys so i just had to include one here... my book - published by tuva publishing -  will be out soon and can be pre ordered on amazon....and a big thank you to everyone who has already done so xxx :)....
 ...........little deer in patchwork frocks.......on a rosy quilt.....
 ............it's been gloriously warm and sunny the last few days...perfect for social distance garden visits with friends and family.....it has felt very summery still but with touches of autumn too...like all the spiders webs....and spiders too....and turning leaves and ripening fruit......and some pumpkin decorations appearing in our house.....
 ..........oh and snowberries too....my daughter found these and bought some for me....we love them...
 .........here is my pink checkerboard quilt top newly finished with the outer striped border sewn on.....
 ........and ready for quilting now...or at least to be added to the quilting pile.....sweet pumpkin made from one of my favourite pam kitty morning fabrics......
 ........there will be more snowberry pictures before this season ends, i'm sure.....
 ........in the garden some things are fading, going to seed and being cut back....but some things are popping up and giving us a nice surprise......like this lovely poppy......
 ........i'm saving some seed from the smaller poppies that grew in the sweet pea patch to sow in the cottage garden.....and i'll leave you with a bunch of garden flowers...cosmos, poppies, white roses, daisies and sweet peas.....september flowers in the september sunshine....

So many beautiful flowers in and around your home. They always put a smile on my face. Your new book sounds wonderful, love all the cute project sneak peeks. Also love your sweet pumpkins - so pretty and perfect for Fall.

I have pre-ordered your new book on Amazon! And.. I have re-acquainted myself with my Singer Featherweight sewing machine so when it comes I might actually get some Helen-crafts made! :-) I enjoyed each of your photos.. your sense of color is a delight.

Hello dear Helen! I have had trouble with blogger and can no longer edit my old blog so I have a new one www.self-sufficientsam.blogspot.com just in case you wondered what happened to me. I'm still kicking! LOL! Look at you with another book and those darling deer. The Snowberries are precious and not sure I ever heard of them before. I have to catch up with you and I love your new quilt too! YOur well of inspiration must be very deep as you just keep creating beautiful items for all of us to enjoy and hopefully make! TTYL! Such a delightful post Helen! Love all the pretty flowers.... mine are fading fast due to the HEAT of all things... we had our first rain after 3-1/2 months of dry dry dry and dusty and hot. It sure did clean the air though. Your little deer are darling and I too have a snowberry bush right in our yard! I love it! The berries aren't as big but very plentiful. I bought it a few years ago at the end of a summer heal wave for 50 cents! It is now almost as tall as I am and it was a scrawny half dead little thing. Your new quilt is so pretty too! Hugs.. Marilyn
