Bags and Baskets

Happy new week dear blog friends......we have lots of patchwork bag pictures to show today......
.......and this is my new peg rail put up by my kind hubby after lots of indecision by me about where i wanted it......think we found the right spot :)......
.........this little bag is a vintage charm style version of my drawstring bag in my etsy shop (link in sidebar).....
.........you can make it look so different by using a mix of very dark and light fabrics for the squares, then sewing appliqué fabric roses on top here and there......
........and adding some buttons, beads and ribbon to make it special......
..........below is my vintage patchwork tote bag (no pattern yet), drawstring bag made with tilda fabrics, my vintage charm quilt and new french market basket......
.......and some big pink hydrangeas too.......
........have been having a good time making these vintage style creations this year.....
........love these little quilts and have a much bigger one in the works now with many more roses...
..........here's a picture of our garden a few days ago.....lavender, agapanthus and day lilies....in the warm sunshine.....
.......today it is blowing a gale and raining so not a bit like this.......but it might be nice again tomorrow......love these day lilies close up so pink and pretty with such interesting centres....
.........thank you for visiting me here and for the sweet comments you leave me.....they are so much appreciated.....wishing you all a wonderful week....hope you are keeping safe and well and enjoying some creative inspirations and some pretty flowers.......take care lovelies.......back soon xxxxxxxx

Your day lilies are gorgeous.
Your drawstring bags are charming.
I will add pompoms to mine to tell them apart. lol. I use them to save bureau space by storing socks and scarves in them. I hang the drawstring bags on the hooks next to my robes.

Love, love, love all your bags Helen, the little roses dotted over them and on your gorgeous quilt too are so pretty!
Your day lilies are stunningly beautiful, I hope they haven't suffered too much because of Storm Francis!! Our weather took a down turn this evening again!! :(
Enjoy your week my friend,

Such pretty bags and quilts with all those lovely fabrics. You have a knack for putting them together so well. I do like that pink day lily - mine are orange and definitely not my favourite colour! Take care and have a good week.

Bravo on all the completed projects. One can never have too many bags, plus they would be a perfect gift bag as the bag would come in handy for the recipient! I'm glad you got warm and dry photos of the garden before the rain came. We are having continued warm and sunny days here in Oregon. Take care my friend. Love the peg rack! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Love your cute patchwork bags and quilt with the sweet roses added. Your peg rail is so cute. My husband makes those - and we have many around our home. Your garden looks so pretty - hopefully the winds didn't damage it too much. Wishing you a blessed day, Helen.

Hey Helen, you got a gorgeous collection of bags there! Reading blogs about Painting and Handicrafts always took me on a trip down my memory lane to the days of my school time. Your photography skills are exceptional with the perfect blend of lighting and contrast. Loved the lavenders swaying in your garden.
