Bright Corners

Hello lovely blog readers and happy new week...........we've had some bright days here as well as some rainy grey and gloomy ones.......here is my quilt fresh from the longarm quilter....it's called bright corners...........
............it was made with a jellyroll of lecien child smile fabrics and white kona cotton.....
.............the block is a nine patch variation.....very simple and quick to sew.....
...............i rotary cut all the pieces and then sewed this up on the machine very quickly and then debbie holland longarm quilted it for me in a modern loops pattern.................
...........i enjoyed making it and now i'm making a red and white one using the same pattern......
............this one is on the wall in my sewing room now brightening it up even on the dullest of days.......mabel the big bunny is there too with her new woolly scarf..............
.............at the weekend we visited our youngest daughter and her family to celebrate the second birthday of our littlest grandson louis.......our older daughter and family went too and we had a lovely time.........here are some 'in car pictures' on the way...we started out in pouring rain and then it brightened up nicely......
.............cheshire lanes with falling autumn leaves and the occasional dog walker.....
............still lots of green leaves....autumn is late this year......
................back home now and this is in our greenhouse..............
............i filled the terracotta pots up with violas and bellis daisies ready for some cheerful autumn colour.....and beneath the trees at the bottom of our garden are tiny bright cyclamen blooming.....
.............thank you for visiting me here in my little bit of blogland and a big grateful thank you to everyone who leaves me a kind comment......it's so nice to hear from you......wishing you all a wonderful week ahead with lots of bright and happy times.............keep cosy......back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I love your quilt Helen, it is so fresh and I love Mabel too, looking very pretty in her new scarf! :)
Aren't cyclamen just the sweetest little flowers, they always seem to me far too delicate for the time of year that they bloom.
Glad you had a lovely time celebrating little Louis's 2nd birthday!
Happy new week,
V x

Your bright corners quilt is so pretty - it's crisp like early autumn should be!
Cyclamen grow in the woods where I walk and I admire their pink cheerfulness so very much as everything else turns brown and sodden with all the rain we've had.
Your family times sound lovely. Have a wonderful week.

This is a beautiful quilt, Helen. I love the bright spots of apple green throughout.

What a glorious drive! I'd love to travel these roads to see all England has to offer. Lovely flowers still blooming for you in your garden...not so much here. :(

Dear Helen, your photos are absolutely beautiful
Your quilt is very sweet and perky
I love seeing Mabel. I am happy you had a good visit with your daughters and a birthday to celebrate. My 4 grand girls are so small, and my oldest one is 4. We are so blessed to be able to see our beloved daughter mamas with just a little drive.

Your green house flowers look pristine.
We have had heavy wind and rain after a very dry summer. Now everything looks beaten up haha.
I hope you have a delightful week
