Happy October everyone............how fast this year is flying by..........here are some cosy autumn makes that i've been working on as the new month is beginning..........
.................each week i sew another pumpkin or two to add to the growing collection......this one was made from pam kitty morning fabrics...one of my favourite rosy prints on white..........
...........i am also working my way through finishing a big pile of unfinished projects......last week i showed my crochet v stitch blanket and i am pleased to say i have sewn in half of those million ends now so should be getting on to the border soon.......here is a red and white patchwork table runner which has been a long time awaiting completion......
............it was made with three english paper pieced blocks and some white sashing.......
........i hand quilted it and added red and white spotted binding............
...........it looks nice on top of the newly painted cupboard and i am so happy to have finished it and to be able to use it now...........again the fabrics are pam kitty morning from lakehouse fabrics......
..............shown here with the auricula mug and red and white striped candles both from susie watson........
.............favourite flowers from the october garden this week.......a new japanese anemone plant is flowering profusely.....such pretty pink flowers too.......and i love the red creeper which grows over a wall at the side of the house......
.............flowers and berries.........and below is a new charm pack of lecien flower sugar to inspire some new little projects.........
.............i love charm packs because you can see the selection of fabrics easily and then order yardage of your favourites.......charm packs are good for making quick quilt tops or little projects when you need lots of small pieces of fabric............
..............playing with the reds and the pinks this week........hope to show you what i'm making soon :)................
..............the weather here today is blustery and chilly.........the nights are drawing in and we are enjoying our evenings with the fire and candlelight keeping us cosy........more works in progress being tackled this week too and coming soon.............
...............thank you so much for visiting me here lovely readers and for the kind comments you take the time to leave me....i love to hear from you...........wishing you happy autumn (or spring) days and a week filled with crafty inspirations..................back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I love you colour combination. Pumpkins are delightful. It's nice to complete ufo. My are building up again I wish i could finish something before starting something new. Flowers in your garden look gorgeous.
Helen! So adorable!
We are thinking alike today. I just posted a runner I made from charm packs. I love them. I think I need to get a red and white pack to make a runner with.
I truly don't know how you do it all! I'm assuming you don't have any arthritis in your hands???

Pure pretty...it always makes me smile!
Another pretty pumpkin Helen...you must have so many now!! :)
Your table runner is so beautiful, like all your work so fresh and clean!
Loving you little autumn floral display too, the anemone is so pretty.
Have a cosy week,

Helen,
Such a sweet little rosy print pumpkin, love all the Pam Kitty Morning fabrics. I have a weakness for two color quilts, red and white, and blue and white are favorites of mine. Your red and white table runner is a perfect choice for your little white cupboard, and I love the auricular mug. You seem to find the cutest mugs and accessories to pair with your quilts.
Thank you for sharing.

As usual, I love everything you've shown today! The red and white squares - table runner is just darling, and love the striped candles with it! And your sweet little pumpkin is so cute.. I too love the Pam Kitty fabrics but have yet to buy any. I have a few "favorited" on Etsy but keep forgetting to buy some. Too many other things going on this summer. I'm hoping the Fall will slow down a little bit so I can sew and play. Your garden flowers are so pretty too.. love the green with the red berries...... Marilyn in Oregon
Happy October Helen! Love your pumpkins, they are so sweet! It's a great feeling getting those UFO's finally finished, isn't it? :) What a gorgeous table runner you finished.....it looks wonderful.
I enjoyed perusing your pretty images.. love your quilted table runner.. how nice that would look on the dining table at Christmas time! I look forward to seeing your crochet blanket all done. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
I am so in love with your sewn pumpkins in your own unique style! Those colors...perfect! In our imaginations, it's not always about traditional fall colors; rust, orange, deep reds. Perhaps colors that remind us of the flowers you shared from your garden. Lovely.
The table runner you made is so, so pretty! Thank you for sharing your latest works.

It's all beautiful, I love red and white together and your litle Nordic horse fits the scene perfectly. I am not a sewer, if only I was! so I admire the amount of thought that goes in to designing your work and planning colour schemes.
Love the sweet pumpkin, and crushing on the reds, too. I've finally gotten back in the mood to sew - maybe it's the fall weather, but you're inspiring me, too!

Such a beautiful red and white table runner Helen and I just love your Autumn flowers! It is feeling very chilly here too! Hope you have a good week! Christine x
There are so many pretty fabrics in the world, and I think your choices must be some of the prettiest. Sweet projects, all of them. Flowers and berries are lovely. Happy October days to you, Helen!
Happy October back to you! As always, your photos are so pretty and calming. I love the pretty red and white runner -- so classic. And the pinks! So Pretty!!!
I love your floral pumpkin! x
Lovely pumpkins. I'm so glad to welcome autumn after this long hot summer.

Your fabric pumpkins are so cute! Nice pincushion? It's always nice to finish a project isn't it? I'm visiting from Teresa K blog. Hello from Oregon. I like your blog. I lived in England when I was stationed there with the US Air Force. I really enjoyed my time there. Have a good weekend!
I adore your little pumpkins and especially in all the variety of colors and patterns. I have to dig out my book...I think I have it but if not I will be ordering just so I can make some of those little cuties!
I also enjoy your nature layouts....what a great way to preserve the beauty too by taking a picture before they fade away. Fall has finally arrived here too with the blustery winds, cooler temps and beautiful colors. I love the table runner and I am sewing again on my new wonderful 'working' sewing machine! No wonder I didn't sew much before...it's amazing how wonderful and enjoyable sewing is when you don't have to 'fiddle' with tension and other maladies. I am making a project bag, little I Spy quilts for the grand boys for Christmas and some mug rugs for Halloween. Love the Lucien...I may have to order some of that! LOL! Enjoy your Fall!
