So....we had a light dusting of snow here and we (molly and i) couldn't wait to take some pictures....
………..compared to many places our snowfall is minimal but even a little changes the light and the brightness and it was fun having a little photoshoot first thing in the morning....
………...as regular readers know i do love red and white quilts and taking pictures of them in the snow is something i love to do whenever i get the chance...
………..molly was a great help...she's especially good at photo bombing.....
…….she was loving the snowy fun...…..this is my old checkerboard quilt......
………...and i had to snap this pic of the berries in the snow...so pretty......
………...the quilt photo shoot was quite a quick one as it was very cold out there.....
………..here's the irish chain quilt made recently and the churndash quilt, a bit older.....
………….molly checking the air...maybe more snow?...….
………...it was a beautiful day out in my garden with the winter sun glowing through the trees...and seeing lots of tiny shoots and bulbs poking through the dusting of snow in the cottage garden brought such promise of spring...………..
…………...soon we went in and i had a nice hot cup of coffee...……..
…….and of course enjoyed my making and crafting, reading and cooking, in the warmth...thank you for dropping by dear readers and sharing my little world for a while.....i am also on instagram during the week if you would like to catch up with me there between blog posts.....i am on facebook too but for some reason am having trouble loading my posts on there at the moment...don't know why or how to solve it but for those of you who like to find me there i will keep trying....xx wishing you all a wonderful week ahead wherever you live and whatever your weather......back soon xxxxxxxxx

Another lovely post.
Molly is so cute .
Love the red and white too, looks great in the snow .
Here in Devon no snow yet , just a beautiful sunny day.
Your beautiful red and white quilts and gorgeous Molly look so lovely in the snow ... but I think thats enough snow for now, as you know I'm not a huge fan. :)
It is wonderful to see so many buds and shoots appearing.
Have a great week Helen,
V x
The snow made for the perfect photo shoot Helen, your quilts looked gorgeous out there but brrr it's so cold. Such fun to see sweet Molly photo bombing! Keep warm and have a good week, we are promised some snow tomorrow night...I would quite like that as long as it only lasts the next day!! Hugs xxx
I too love doing "photo shoots" in the snow. When I lived in SW Washington up in the mountains, we had tons of snow every winter, and I probably took a thousand pictures of the trees and scenery, sunshine peeking through, garden fences, trellises, etc. It was so fun! We don't get that much snow here where we live now. Love your quilts on the fence and the red snow laden berries! xoxo Marilyn
How nice of mother nature to paint the outdoors white so you could have a midwinter photo session with a snowy backdrop! I adore all your red and white quilts.. 3 makes a lovely tableaux! Molly is a darling girl. We got a puppy on Saturday.. I just did a blog post with photos this morning. Enjoy your wintery weather.. it's very fair here this season. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
Your quilts are absolutely lovely as always, Helen. And they look fab in an outdoor wintry setting! That Molly is a dolly!! My late mother's name was Marjorie but she was always called Molly! :)
Stay warm and dry!
Jane
I love red and white quilts and they look beautifull in the snow. And your other quilts look so fresh, I like the colours you choose.
Looks lovely with the dusting of snow and all your beautiful quilts! Love how the sun shines through. Molly is such a cutie and reminds me of our two Bichons - perfect companion dogs :)!
Beautiful post and fabulous photographs of your lovely red and white quilts. We have lots of snow here. It does change the light.... it's beautiful. Have a lovely week Helen! xxx
Always love to read you Posts, The snow pictures with Molly are so lovely and the quilts so beautiful! This week I bought all your Brooks, so I can make all the crafts for my new grand child!
Thank you for all the inspiration.
Have a Nice week,
Evelyne
Really lovely quilts, Helen, and how fun to photograph them in the snow. The red and white really pops! Much of the northern hemisphere is in a bit of a deep freeze just now, although we are not. Have a great week crafting in your cozy home.
The snow makes a perfect backdrop to your pretty red and white quilt Helen. I like the fact that Molly gets a look in too! x
Helen,
Love, love your red and white quilts, and they look so perfect draped on your white picket fence. Molly is looking very cute as she is photo bombing.
We are currently in a deep freeze with record breaking wind chill temps.
I have some daffodils peeking their heads through, hopefully they will survive the cold. I am so ready for spring.
Thank you for sharing.

Your quilts look stunning in the snow. Molly looks like she's having a wonderful time.
Everyone is freezing. I'm almost embarrassed at our spring-like weather.
