Happy New Year

Here are some of my own favourite pictures from 2018...it's hard to believe we are at the end of another year again...……….
…………..we had a lovely christmas and i hope you enjoyed yours too...…….
………..my christmas quilt was used all the time and i'm so glad i made it even though it's only used at this time of year...……..
………..and i do plan to write up the pattern for this (and lots of other makes of mine) this coming year......
……...i added some shop bought roses to the bucket of holly and ivy…..they lasted all week....
…………...my granddaughter wrapped molly up in the christmas quilt...she loved it....
…………..my elder daughter and her husband hosted christmas day for us all......below is a peek at her pretty dining table...……..
………..later in the day when dusk was falling...……...and betsy and molly having their own special dogs' christmas dinners in the kitchen.....
………..we had a family buffet at our house on boxing day.....this is the trifle i made just like the ones i made in the 80's :)……..a trip down memory lane as i haven't made one for a long time.....
………..the tiny cross stitched dala horse i showed you last time was made into this cute little pincushion using sweet fabrics from the guestroom collection for moda……..
……….and i have now begun three new quilts for the new year....this is the beginning of one of them ………...time to tidy up the house and get back to normal again now...……..
………...thank you for dropping by to my little blog space dear readers and for the kind comments you leave...….wishing you all a very Happy New Year and a wonderful time in 2019...….i hope you enjoy your crafty times and find plenty of creative inspiration...…………...back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Beautiful Helen ... I think your daughter has definitely inherited her mother's creative genes! :)
I look forward to seeing your new quilts grow!!
I made a trifle for boxing day too, I also haven't made one in years but this time mine was completely vegan and even so I say so myself it was good. :)
Wishing you my friend and your lovely family a very happy and healthy 2019!

Helen,
Such a beautiful post to celebrate Christmas with the end of one year and the beginning of a new one. Inspiration abounds with the Christmas quilt, cross stitched pincushion, and your new star quilt. I am excited to start new projects and my hope is to finish many of the WIPs I have hidden away.
Thank you for sharing, and I am looking forward to seeing the many new projects you have up your sleeve this year.

Dear Helen, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful life with your devoted readers. I consider you a real true friend even though we've never met. I showed Dayle your daughter's lovely table and we agreed that she inherited your fabulous style. I look forward to another year of seeing your inspiring handcrafts.

Beautiful photos. That pincushion is so sweet! I like the colors and the little x stitches along the side. Your place offers some of what is good and lovely and pure---healthy for our minds to dwell on. Thanks! Happy New Year. Alexine in Maryland

Happy New Year to you too! I'm excited to see what 2019 brings! Loved your pictures from previous posts.... I'm so in love with the little red and white "trees"... and love the quilt draped over the white picket fence. Who doesn't like a white picket fence to hang things on? I definitely want one! And the little cross stitched horse is just precious. Your daughter set up a beautiful Christmas table.. she surely does take after her mom... and your trifle looks delicious. I don't know how they are made or what's in them, but it looks beautiful! Your new project looks like fun too! Have a wonderful weekend! Marilyn
