May Makes

My may making time has already been busy and filled with lovely new fabrics which have inspired so many ideas of things i want to make............the first thing i made with the new tilda circus fabrics was this little pincushion............
.............making something small at first helps me overcome the initial reluctance to actually cut into the new fat quarters of pretty fabrics......these were from sew and so........
...............below is a picture of my work table with the ingredients of a new project about to be made.....
.............a patchwork drawstring bag made from tilda circus fabrics, and including a few older ones from my stash too.......
.............love the reds and blues especially............and i found some lovely wool felt pom poms from blooming felt to match ............
.............the ribbon is from dotcomgiftshop...........i bought a reel of it a while ago just because i liked it and knew it would be useful one day.....
..............the bag will be used as a project bag (by me)....handy to take out with me and keep all my sewing or crochet things safe............
...............below is my studio chair, the little fire which is not needed at the moment as it has been quite warm here, and my red and white bunting which i found in a box while tidying up......
.................below is the little bag hanging up on my big cupboard........this is built into an alcove in the studio and it houses lots of my crafty stuff ..........
................even sweet doll has a new tilda dress this week.....my grand daughter daisy loves to play with the dolls and bunnies here and dresses them up in each others' clothes............
................i will leave you this week with pictures of the flowers i picked for the weekend.....
................our garden is full of bluebells this year and lots of pretty tulips too....these photos were on instagram first but i wanted to show them to my blog readers who aren't on ig too :) ......
.................thank you for dropping by to see me here dear readers and for you kind comments.......it is always a pleasure to hear from you............wishing you a very happy week ahead with plenty of  crafty inspiration and sunny days....................back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Another very pretty post of your latest makes. I've often wondered where you purchased your fabrics , they are always very summery and showcase your various makes so well. Until the next until the next time ... Joan

So much loveliness! I love how the elephant is in the middle of your pincushion, they reallyaregorgeoub fabrics and the little felt balls are such a pretty add on to your lovely bag xx

My youngest adult daughter, Elisabeth, would especially appreciate the pincushion you made since she has collected little elephant themed books and crafts. Once more your gathering of colors mingled with or displayed on white delights and instructs me...and inspires me to craft! Thank you for sharing your creativity and some sweet family moments, too. Wishing you happy days until we visit again. XXXXXXXX

It's so nice that little granddaughter dresses up your dollies and bunnies, I think I'd like to play with them too.
Lots of lovely blooms as well!
Have a lovely week, so good to feel the sunshine,

Gorgeous flowers! The bags are cute.

I use draw string bags for extra thick socks that crowd the sock drawer.

I drool over your fabrics - such pretty, pretty choices. Your makes are all lovely. And the bouquet equally so.

The little doll is so precious. (a little birdie told me I might be getting one of your books for Mother's day! I sure hope so...I'll let you know!) Hugs, Diane

I keep telling myself I'll try a little sewing project but still haven't. Your creations are always so pretty. I love the flowers, too, Helen! My late friend, years ago, went back to England one spring to visit some of his siblings; he wanted to be there while the bluebells filled the woods.

Enjoy the rest of your week.

Back to say I just ordered three of your books on Amazon. I decided that my sewing machine would love a busy run of cuteness. Yay!
