September

Hello again dear readers....and happy september everyone.....here are some pictures from the potting shed....
...........the blue vintage bucket filled with some garden flowers ready for the house.....
.........and a quilt stack.......wonderful changing light and low sun.....bright and golden, then grey and pale.....september is the most nostalgic month for me and i love all the little hints of autumn....
.........the potting shed still has some flowers around it......though these dahlias have been nibbled both on the leaves and around the edges of the petals (probably by slugs and snails).....and here is one of our greedy garden visitors ....squirrel nutkin....tucking into a big juicy plum......
...........this is one of the new clematis we have just planted........
.........and here is my blackberries pincushion made with embroidery, seed beads and patchwork.....
......i loved making this and the pattern is in my etsy shop link in sidebar....
.......... berries and rosehips in the hedgerow on one of our favourite walks......
.........always love to see berries (and blossoms) against blue sky.......such a joy every year...
..........grateful to be in this peaceful place, enjoying nature and the timelessness.....
.......quiet ponies grazing in a field.......and below a vase of delicious roses and sweet peas......
.........thank you for popping in here to my little blog world lovely readers......and thank you for your kind comments.....it's so good to hear from you.........wishing you a happy new month....keep well lovelies...back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

A delightful post as always, Helen. That's a fab photo of Nutkin - incidentally, our resident squirrel is Nigel. <.>

Beautiful photos. Happy September!
Squirrels here have been breaking open hickory nuts on the patio furniture. I laugh. It's like having young kids around.

Tranquility - when I look at all your lovely pics, Helen! Loved seeing that open field with horses - beautiful, and your potting shed, and how you described the month of September - beautiful! September and October are favorite months of mine too - humidity is usually gone by then and the pretty Fall colours always put on an awesome show around here. Enjoy your lovely walks with berries and flowers along the way! Happy Weekend, dear Friend!

The pincushion is lovely Helen. Such a clever idea using seed beads for the blackberries.
