Summer Projects

Hello again dear readers....greetings from my very rainy bit of the world today.....but still we have some bright and summery projects to share......
..........my dottie drawstring bag is an easy pattern to make in lots of different fabrics, both scraps and larger pieces....and here i've added a little cherry appliqué too......
.........the lining is a pretty fruit print in green.....
.......and the backing is the same print in pink......fabrics, cords and stops from rose garden patchwork online, and the little bag pattern is in my etsy shop link in sidebar......
...........also new to my shop and filled with summer colour is my flower pots quilt.......
........this was a fun make....and i fancy sewing another one...maybe in vintage colours.......
........the beginning of the week was warm and sunny and we had lots of lovely garden times.....
..........enjoying the daily surprises as new flowers open......
..........and watching birds, butterflies and bees among them.......
........the sweet peas have been growing so well and are a joy to have indoors next to my work table in little vases and jugs......
........earlier in the season we popped tiny nasturtiums in here and there and now it's fun to see them flowering.....we also have a row of sunflowers gradually growing taller......love this time of year so much and we need the rain for the flowers.......but hope the sun comes out again soon ;)........

..........thank you for dropping by to see me here dear blog friends....and a big thank you for your kind comments........wishing you a happy week ahead with sunny days and crafty times.......take care lovelies..............back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Beautiful bright, cherry coloured makes. I do love that little flower pot quilt.
Aren't nasturtiums just brilliant, they never let you down.
Wishing you a happy weekend my dear, let's hope it brighter, sunnier and warmer for us all.

Such a sweet bag and quilt! So many lovely flowers blooming in and around your place. We are to have a 'few' days rain, but it was needed again. Good reason to stay inside and sew :)! Have a blessed weekend, Helen!

The quilt is just lovely! And as always... LOVE your garden and the white picket fence! I'm closing to getting the picket fence in ours... I have the flower bed all dug out and planted with roses, strawberries and some dahlias.. now just need the fence and arbor! You always inspire me with your wonderful cheery quilts.. one of these days I will try to finish my school house quilt that I started about 12 years ago! We have 109 degree temps here today.. so would relish some rain! Marilyn (Oregon)
