Sweet As Pie

Hello again dear blog friends......here is my little nine patch quilt being hand quilted this week...
........it uses lots of scraps and jelly roll strips and soft green sashing in between the nine patch blocks....
........and i found a pretty green and white backing fabric online......besides actual quilts i love old books that have quilty illustrations too like this one below....
........and as you know i also love a quilt cupboard......and here is a new /old one....
....this little cupboard has been moved into my studio and is perfect to hold some quilt stacks...
........just in the process of filling it up......patchwork birds on the top (pattern in my etsy shop link in sidebar).....molly checking it out......
.........it's time to make a few festive things now like a patchwork christmas stocking....pattern for this also in my etsy shop....
........each year i love to re discover my seasonal decorations and use them as photo props.....
.........and it's always fun to make a few new things as well.....
........lots of bright berries on our walks this week...as well as lots of mushrooms, nuts, fallen leaves, squirrels, and acorns......
..........back to my hand quilting this evening.....the nights have drawn in and it's nice to be cosy and light the fire and scented candles....

.....thank you for dropping by dear readers and a big special thank you to those who leave me a comment...so lovely to read them.....wishing you a happy week ahead...hope your days are sweet as pie....take care and keep safe lovelies.......back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

What a wonderful quilt you've made and what a perfect new cabinet to display them in. I really like the green in that quilt, it makes it so fresh. It reminds me of the green in the jadeite dishes I'm collecting. I got a pair of egg cups today! Have a wonderful week, my friend. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Helen, I was so excited when your latest book [that I ordered through Amazon many months ago] arrived recently! I posted a photo of it in my blog post yesterday. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful work through your blog and books. This post made me smile when you shared your pretty Christmas decorations. Yesterday, 10.31.2020, I found a radio station that was playing Christmas carols all day and I loved listening! Your latest quilt is lovely! xxxxxxxxxxx

Sweet as Pie is definitely the right description!!! This your latest quilt is beautiful;all the patterns and colours so well matched. The cupboard indeed seems just the right place to store your quilts. Even the your quilts stacked like that in the cupboard are inviting....I would be so tempted to take each one shake them out just to admire them! The little ducks are just gorgeous too. As I always say I never tire of looking at your creations!! keep well Amanda x Crafty in the Med

Helen, you’re beautiful bright quilts quilts and eye candy photos are such an inspiration for me. I retired last year and have relit my my love of sewing candle, especially quilting. I love the bright, fresh colors. I have started one I call my 2021 Beach Quilt. Now I’m wondering if I’m actually going to be able to take it to the beach. ?? 🤔😍❤️. During these difficult COVID times it’s such a pleasure to see your beautiful artwork. Thank you, thank you.
