Summer Stitching

Hello again lovely readers............it's a bright and sunny evening and here are some bright fabric makes to share too.............
............these little log cabin blocks are the ones i've been working on for a long time....
.......and this week i've sewn some of them together to make a little doll quilt.....the yellow and blue spot fabric is for the backing..........more pics coming soon.....
..........another patchwork project is my vintage charm quilt 2 seen here on the cottage garden gate....
..........my little cottage garden is also a patchwork of colours and textures at the moment...
...........we got a few new plants from the garden centre to tuck into the gaps........
..........and staked the delphiniums....these are my treasures as i actually managed to get some to the point of blooming without being eaten first by certain little critters for once....
..........the roses are blooming, despite rain, high winds, thunderstorms and hot sunshine over the past week they just serenely keep opening up new flowers.....i do deadhead them almost every day to keep them flowering happily....
 ...........pink ones and white ones........
.............just wanted to mention that my little july 4 pincushion is now available as a pdf pattern in my etsy shop (link in sidebar)...........it will soon be firecracker time again (and of course that means it will soon be my birthday again as it's on the very same day......and how fast it seems to come around!!)
...........now i must go and water some flower pots and bring in the washing from the line........
............thank you for dropping in to see me here lovely blog friends.....and thank you so much for the kind comments you leave.....have a happy week with flowers, sunny days and plenty of crafty inspirations too....................back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I am totally in love with that little quilt Helen ... I can just a little bunny snuggled under it!! :)
Your garden is looking so lovely especially your roses ... sadly my poor roses were hanging down with the weight of the rain on them, hoping for sunshine tomorrow or at least no rain!!
Enjoy the rest of your week lovely,
V x

A beautiful log cabin quilt in the works, and charming charm quilts. Roses signal summer to me, with their sweet fragrance and wonderful blooms. I'm longing to get back to some stitching - just two more days and I'll be done, done, done this strange school year! Enjoy your garden and your stitching.

Helen, your garden is so pretty. I should get out and check my flowers but I will have to put on long pants. The mosquitoes like to bite me
Your two quilt tops are adorable. I love the doll quilt log cabins. I should do that. I need to go through my boxes of scraps a plenty
Happy Wednesday from Virgina
