May Days

Hello dear readers.....happy may everyone........beginning here with some beautiful apple blossom which i photographed yesterday on a lovely countryside day out.....
..........here is my old favourite quilt called gather the flowers........
........designed using lots of different techniques including patchwork, english paper piecing, appliqué, embroidery, hand stitching and hand quilting.......the pattern is in my etsy shop link in sidebar......
............and i have been gathering some flowers this past week as so much has come into bloom.....
..........at the weekend my daughter sarah and i went to the little brocante fair and had a lovely time looking at lots of vintage treasures........below is a pile of quilts and other vintage textiles......
.........and in the background behind these blue coffee pots three very patient king charles spaniels waited quietly.......
...........inspired by vintage style, and the coronation which takes place tomorrow......is a new version of my little teatime pincushion.........vintage and patriotic in theme with lewis and irene royal fabrics and a different word tag.....the original pattern is in my etsy shop.......
...........a view we enjoyed on our country walk yesterday........so peaceful and quiet......
..........and such gorgeous pink and white apple blossom.......
.........i do love an orchard scene........one of my favourite things..........
...........we are getting ready for tomorrow's coronation, with bunting and decorations, cakes, scones, bubbly, a street party..........and my royal quilt of course........and a big bunch of scented lilacs and bluebells in a striped jar.........

...........thank you for dropping by to see me here lovely readers and for the kind comments you leave me......wishing you a happy week ahead however you spend it, with sunny days and crafty inspirations.......take care lovelies..........peace and love.................back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
