Jingle Bell Houses

Hello everyone and welcome to my little blog space this week......where i have been sewing tiny houses....
..........these are jingle bell houses and they have been fun to make this week using scraps of red starry fabric, and lots of low volume prints, with red wooden buttons and of course......jingle bells.....love these rusty vintage style bells very much.....(pattern for these is in my etsy shop link in sidebar)....
.........we also had a nice outing to a real house last week......the beautiful rufford old hall in lancashire.....
..........so full of atmosphere and steeped in history...it is a small property and has a rather cosy feel...
.........the great hall with a carved wooden screen dating back to the 1600's......
........here is the tea table (tomorrow i am having an afternoon tea party at my house so this might be inspiring me)......
..........cosy bedroom with carved four poster bed and beautiful textiles........
...........althugh it was grey it was a mild day and we enjoyed walking in the garden and grounds.....
.....beautiful autumn colours and leaves whirling slowly through the air.....canal reflections and country views......we had lunch in the tearoom and a delicious cup of coffee......
.....and when we went back to the car i spied this right next to me......a spotty red and white toadstool waiting there just for me...even though it had been nibbled it was still lovely to see....(i know they are poisonous and wouldn't dream of touching it to those sweet friends who worry!!)......
..........off to do some house cleaning and baking now for friends coming tomorrow......

.....thank you for dropping by dear readers and for your very kind and thoughtful comments...they are so appreciated......wishing you a lovely cosy crafty week ahead......take care lovelies......back soon xxxxxx

Loved seeing all your lovely pics, Helen - thank you for sharing! I'm able to walk right along and experience the UK through your eyes. I always find this so interesting.
Your houses are adorable with the cute red heart buttons and vintage bells.
Enjoy your baking and time with your friends this weekend.
