Four Patch

Hello again everyone.....this past week has seen a lot of fabric cutting going on in my sewing room.....making squares for four patch blocks......first there were squares cut from this adorable boat fabric by lewis and irene......
.......mixed with red and white stripes for some cute little seaside inspired four patches.....these will be made into my favourite four patch on point quilt with blue setting squares......
..........then i wanted to begin another four patch quilt, this time inspired by coffee......
........in particular this gorgeous coffee themed fabric by suzuko koseki........
..........more cute little four patches were made and these will be joined with pale coffee coloured solid fabric setting squares......will show you more progress soon.....
...........fabric love......japanese prints like these often inspire me.........this fabric is available from rosegarden patchwork.......
..........floral inspiration is important to me too......here are some deliciously scented hyacinths in the kitchen.......
.........and these pretty little primroses were growing at the edge of a fence on our walk the other day....
.....our walk took us a long an old bridleway this time......
.........it was sunny with blue sky and very cheerful.......
.......now i am going to have a nice cup of coffee and go back to sewing my seaside quilt....here is a sugar mouse wearing his nautical outfit of denim trousers and red and white striped cardigan (all the patterns are in my etsy shop link in sidebar).......

.....thank you for dropping by dear readers........and for the kind words you leave me.....wishing you a wonderful week filled with sunny days, crafty inspirations and happy times.......take care lovelies......back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Happy Friday Helen! How I look forward to your posts! They always put a smile on my face. I love the fabrics you've chosen for the new quilts. I may have to make a coffee-themed quilt myself. Little mouse looks adorable in the trousers. :-) Thank you for spreading some joy.

Love your patchwork squares with nautical theme and the coffee theme. So, so sweet! Your little mouse is so sweet too. Spring has come to your corner which is so lovely to see. We too have gotten warmer temperatures - and are hoping this means no more snow :)! One beautiful sight is - the robins and other birds are starting to show up and we are waiting for nests to appear again. I've missed them!
