December Days

Hello again dear blog friends.....it has turned very chilly here and we are glad of our quilts and heating and fires this week.....
.........a bit of festive baking has been done ......couldn't wait to use this reindeer embossing rolling pin....
..........i made some cookie dough and rolled it out......some of the pattern faded in the oven .....maybe i cut the cookies too thick or there was too much butter in this recipe....will be trying a different one tomorrow and hope i get the perfect pattern on them...
.......finished the circle table topper (from my book some sweet home sewing newly published and available on amazon, in book shops and other online sites)........this is my festive red and cream version of course....
.........it makes the perfect candle mat especially with this sweet old cath kidston chamberstick...
........a peek at one more snowy window.....
.........for the backing on this mat i chose a gorgeous tilda print from the bon voyage collection....
...........love these bold circle flowers.....
........here is a peek through the snowy sewing room window (quite a blizzard isn't it?).....
..........and here is the little window with candles and fabric robins against a snowy pane....
..........winter scenes are very quiet and peaceful......loving the pale colours.....

.......thank you for coming to see me here dear readers......thank you for the kind comments you leave me and the good wishes you send......wishing you a warm, peaceful week with simple joys and cosy times.....take care of yourselves and stay safe and well lovelies........back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I love the festive version of your table topper Helen and how beautiful is the snowy peek through your sewing room window. :)
I love those rolling pins (have been tempted) they do make such a good impression on the dough.
Enjoy the rest of your cosy quilt filled week lovely.

Such beautiful quilts! Your decor is so peaceful and lovely. I too have been tempted to get one of those fancy rolling pins. It would make a wonderful gift! Maybe someday! Merry Christmas.

Your home is so delightful and so festive! Love those little birds! I have the pattern but haven't made them yet! The snowflakes on the windows are so fun! I always love seeing what you've been up to!

Your window snowflakes are so cute - and make it even cozier inside. Beautiful pics and lovely scenes. We finally got our house decorated for Christmas too. A little less than usual, but we have a little one who started to walk recently, so it is more child friendly this year :)!

The quilts and snowflakes make such a pretty sight. I am off school until the New Year now and am looking forward to doing some sewing.

Helen, I'm anxious to see how your next try with the rolling pin works out. I have never had success with decorated rolling pins. Before I bake the cookies the dough looks beautiful but once baked the design disappears. I'm enchanted by your all your creations.
