Picnic Quilt

We have a newly finished quilt today........this is my picnic quilt made with lots of tilda happy campers fabrics as well as some stripes from my stash and some kona cotton solid in white.....
................i loved sewing these blocks, partly by hand (the circles) and the rest by machine....
............the quilting was professionally done for me by the very talented debbie holland of longarm quilting.com...............the pattern is pop lids and i love how the circles echo the circles of the patchwork.....
...............this is a traditional block called drunkard's path as lots of you will know....i love sewing classic blocks in new fabrics......
.............at the moment i'm writing the pattern for this (along with a few other projects too)....
...........i am going to make something else with the happy campers fabrics as they are so pretty....
............lots of other patchwork and applique has been going on here too...i've been a busy bee.....
............more blocks for my floral irish chain quilt.......and a bright summery hexagon quilt too....
................in my work room this week i had bulbs and birds as well as patchwork.....
...........and a lovely new garden mug from emma bridgewater to sip my tea from.....(the patchwork bird pattern is in my etsy shop link in sidebar)......
..............here's a peek at the floral irish chain quilt top almost complete......and below...still blooming are my letterbox flowers...they are amazing and last so long..........
............thank you for dropping by dear readers and for your kind comments.....it is such a pleasure to hear from you in my little blog space......wishing you a healthy happy cheerful week ahead......and of course some crafty inspirations too.........take care lovelies.........back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Oh Helen, that circle-y quilt is magnificent! I love viewing your blog as the pretty colors, patterns and the artistic way you photograph them just thrill me. I admit that after I read your blog I click on the top photo so it's really big on my computer screen then I drink in the beauty of each image slowly before I click on the next one and all of them until the last. And I have to tell me I always am uplifted and end up with a smile on my face. Thank you! Have a wonderful week, my friend! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

I agree with Teresa! I do the same thing.. just sit and drink it all in.. the beautiful colors and fabrics and the brightness of it all. Your posts always make me smile and give me an uplift. I LOVE those circles for the quilting in your picnic quilt... and that quilt is adorable with the bits of gold and purples.. sign. Just love it. And your flowers are still so stunning! Thank you for the little bit of sunshine.. although today here in central Oregon, we do have sunshine and gorgeous blue skies and it's 55 degrees out! Spring is just teasing us, as will get down to 5 degrees this coming Saturday night! Hugs.. Marilyn

Beautiful Tilda fabrics in your pretty quilt! Always enjoy seeing what you are sewing in your sewing room - and the lovely flowers and cute bird decor inspires me each time I see your lovely posts. Looking forward to seeing more of your 'primrose' quilt - those applique flowers are so, so sweet!

Love your new quilt, Helen. Such a pretty pattern and (as always!) gorgeous fabrics.
The patch work applique look lovely too and seeing your hexagons reminds me that I have a box with lots of them just waiting to be put together!
Happy stitching.

I love the drunkards path quilt. I love how you make blocks for each fabric. Very sweet, Helen.
I love the Irish Chain quilt too, with your applique. Very pretty. Now I want to make one of those as well.
You are so inspiring.

Thank you Helen for this exquisite blog picturizing the beautiful quilt that you have gotten made using tilda happy campers fabric. The birdie pattern all over the quilt along with pop of wonderful spring pastel colors is so attractive and beautiful. The cup and saucer along with flower vase add more brighter vibe to the whole table set up. Looking for some innovation when it comes to weddings, visit https://www.bloghasting.com/
