How pretty. Do you hand stitch all the log cabin blocks or are they machine sewn?

Wish I could pop into a nursery and pick up some pots of primroses -- how that would help during these Midwestern American grey days! But today the sun did pop out, and I'm feeling more hopeful and am anticipating the greener days ahead. Thanks for your dose of color and cheer -- it also helps brighten these days of deep January.

Oh Helen, you're so busy and making such beautiful things. It's so hard to imagine buying plants yet -- we're still 3 or 4 months away -- although we can plan and dream and order seeds now. Your bow tie quilt is just beautiful -- made even more so by your beautiful hand quilting. I need to stop knitting so I can spend more time quilting LOL. I'm very excited to watch your nine-patch and log cabin projects -- they're SO pretty!
Helen, I always love seeing a new post from you! I LOVE those tilda fabrics.. so sweet and soft and pretty. Of course, all the fabrics you use are just gorgeous and fun. I've never thought of doing a log cabin block with pastels, but it sure does work! We are in the midst of winter here in central Oregon... so no primroses for us for at least a couple of months (although today was 57 degrees Farenheit!) which is very unusual for this time of year. We'll get more snow i'm sure! Marilyn
