Snow Days

We have been rather excited here for the last couple of days, ever since we woke up to a winter wonderland outside our window............all the trees were dusted with snow and looked so pretty.....
..............we've been keeping cosy with lots of quilts, twinkling lights and the heating on as well as the fire lit.........of course we did venture out in the chilly outdoors a bit too......
.................can you see molly in the picture above?.......little snow dog.........she has never seen snow before and was inspecting it carefully.........
...........i am slowly sorting out the house ready for christmas....this means lots of tidying and stuffing my crafty things away in cupboards and then trying to find them again later......
.................lots of red and white quilts this year...a few more than last year.....
..............and some cosy cushions too.......the cushion below was designed by kate toms and i bought it at the country living christmas fair in london a few years ago.....
...........all my little houses are finished now (using tilda cottage fabrics)........
.............one or two are for gifts for lovely friends............
...............below is a double page spread from the january issue of crafts beautiful magazine showing two of my projects...........
.............fresh makes for the new year.....cross stitch jam pot covers and strawberry applique egg cosies in bright lecien fabrics................you can find out more at crafts beautiful here........
............we had lovely friends over at the weekend..........
.............they gave me this gorgeous rustic pot filled with winter plants arranged by my friend.....so pretty and i love it............
..................a last snowy picture....the sun shone today and the snow is melting fast off the trees now.....thank you for visiting me here dear readers and a special thank you for the lovely comments you take the time to leave, i love to hear from you.............wishing you a wonderful week ahead in the countdown to christmas...............back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

It looked so pretty in your garden Helen. We got a dusting and then sleet..it's turned so cold. Keep warm and enjoy your Christmas crafting, so many lovely red and whites over at yours. Hugs xx

Looks like you are nearly ready for Christmas. I love the colour scheme.
Your little dog Molly looks lost in the snow.

We`ve been seeing your snow and cold on the evening news here. How lovely to be tucked up warm and cozy in your pretty home. I hope for snowy days such as these each winter. We rarely get them, but did last winter, so likely won`t this year. I`ll enjoy yours. Your red and white quilts are so lovely, and inspire me to start one of my own. Someday. Soon.

So pretty there, Helen, inside and out. I love the photo of Molly in the snow, she looks like a lamb! Your house looks cozy and comfy for the cold weather and the Christmas season, just lovely.

Greetings, Dear Helen! Your snowy photos were eye candy for me! I also like your white Nordic candelabra. I fell in love with those and have some in natural colors.. love them. I was at another meeting today where we had a White Elephant sale and I picked up a handmade wooden candelabra painted bright red.. for $3! I adore the rustic pot with live flowers in it, you friend must love you a lot!! Enjoy your snow. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

The first snow is always so fun! Molly is almost invisible out there! Milo is also white, so I can relate.

Pretty, pretty quilts and pillows. I am the same way, hiding away my everyday pieces, to add in the Christmas decor. I hope I can locate it all in January!

Happy Holidays, Helen!

Beautiful pics again. The snow looks lovely - we always wish for it for Christmas time too, but then.....it stays and stays and stays :)! Little Molly looks so cute sniffing at this new adventure! Your house looks so pretty with all the red and white and other sweet projects. I'm pretty much finished too, except for a few last items - love how the Christmas tree is lit each morning and how it lights up the dark corners when the evening shadows come again.
