Happy Easter

We are just beginning our easter break here........we have plenty of flowers and chocolate eggs to give (and some fabric eggs to just look pretty) and of course some bunnies............
............here is this year's easter bunny, her name is lolly and she has just hopped home from an exciting time being featured in april's crafts beautiful magazine, and even being the cover girl.....
..............she is joining the other bunnies here, and is already a big favourite with daisy who knows each one by name and chooses different ones to play with on each visit here ...she has her own bunny, candy, at home too :)....................
................i made some fabric eggs a while ago, just for fun and because i love making old patterns with new fabrics and seeing how they turn out......oldies but goodies :)..........
.............i seem to be collecting white pottery bunny egg cups..........
................half a dozen fabric eggs........china chickens looking a bit puzzled..............
...............we have also made (and already eaten) a batch of easter biscuits in the shapes of bunnies, eggs and chicks............i am going to make some more for our party on sunday.............
...........i love the pretty cookie cutters too, and store them in my new little drawstring bag.......
..............we have new bunny mugs for our morning tea..............i bought these and showed them to my daughter sarah......she had already bought the same ones :).............
...............this week i have been finishing three work projects, including a christmas one......(i am used to working out of season so luckily it doesn't seem strange any more).......i needed to get the projects made so i can fit in the writing and instructions over the next two weeks between family times..........
..............i have been out in the garden with my flowery patterned secateurs picking flowers for the easter decorating , and of course filling the big white bucket with tulips from my specially planted tulip cutting patch.....though i still feel a bit guilty actually cutting them.............they last ages in the house and look lovely indoors.............
..............my easter crochet project.........a granny stripe for my daughter rosie to match a quilt i made her a long time ago from amy butler fabrics in lovely fresh pinks and greens......it is for the sofa in their cottage conservatory.............i have also promised to make a grey stripy ripple for their sitting room........i have more small crochet things i want to make too and hope to fit them in soon........
..............thank you for visiting me here in my little blog space, lovely readers.......it is always a pleasure to have your visits and to read your sweet comments.......i wish you all a very happy easter, with sunshine, flowers and some special treats too.................back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Haha, I love the picture of Lolly draped over the little crate - I do hope the fame hasn't gone to her head and she turns into a diva! ;-)

Aren't your bunny mugs gorgeous and how funny your daughter bought the same ones - she's obviously inherited her mother's exquisite taste.

Have a super Easter, Helen.

Helen, you are a crafter rock star!! How cool to have your work on the cover of a craft magazine! I could only dream of taking such lovely photos. I've been trying to figure out how you do yours. I love all your things, but the crochet fascinates me with the colors you're using.. very unique and fab! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

A cover girl no less! Congratulations to both of you! I was crocheting today too and making Easter treats for the grands but I need to mail mine. I love your pruning shears...so girly! We don't have stuff like that here. Nothing with flowers or crochet hooks with polka dots etc. but I keep looking. I may have to "import" some stuff...Ha! Ha!
I adore Lolly's dress fabric and the fact that she is wearing a little sweater as it is chilly at times in the Spring. I also like her because she has big feet and I have big feet too although I don't hop like I used to.
Happy Easter to you and your family and enjoy your week. I hope the weather cooperates. It's supposed tor rain here on Easter Sunday but I like variety in weather so I don't mind.
Oh, I also like those mugs with the bunnies on them...so cute. The blanket is another wonderful Phillips color combo. I don't know how you come up with all of them but they are all winners. I'm going to try some of those fabric eggs. I tried some decoupage eggs last year and it was a big mess and a big flop. LOL! Okay, I'm really signing off now! Toodles!

I love your little bunny. I had planned on making one for myself (I had made one for my grandson from your book) but I haven't had the chance.

Helen,
Such a beautiful blog, so springy and full of the Easter season. I look forward to your blog each week with wonder and awe. I too share the tulip cutting guilt, but I did "rescue" one lonely red one that came up tangled in a bush and have it on my window ledge above my kitchen sink so I can enjoy it while I cook.
Have a Happy Easter.
Fondly, Mickie in Indiana

Helen your posts are always so pretty snd so inspirational. I particularly love the Easter crochet project you currently have on the go - the colours are a dream! One thing I am staggered by is your output. Howcdo you manage to create such a plethora of beautifully crafted objects in such a short space of time? I seem to take an entire ice age to complete each project I attempt!

What lovely makes, Helen! I think the fabric eggs are so pretty! The other day I was in Marburg, Germany and thought of you as I saw your book (Pretty Patchwork gifts - I think it was that one as the cover was a bit different and I don't speak German) in one of the city many bookshops. It made me smile!
Have a lovely week,
