Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all my lovely readers around the world.....we are beginning with some fresh flowers...
.........and some new quilts......
........star quilts to be exact.....and i have begun two new ones in the last few days...
..........we have had a peaceful quiet christmas and new year here....cosy and warm....
.........staying home and staying safe......
......hot tea and mince pies....striped candles and a bowl of bulbs from my daughter....
..........homemade biscuits and favourite old books......
.....the lovely illustration on the cover cover of this old edition of winter in thrush green by miss read helped inspire my new pale stars quilt......
.........making these by using a rotary cutter to cut the pieces and then sewing them on my machine so they are quite quick to make....
........for slow sewing in the evenings i've been hand quilting....and also knitting little cardigans for my bunnies which i'll show you soon....
.......these hyacinths have a wonderful spring scent......and i'll leave you with some bright stars for a bright start to the new year....
.....thank you for visiting me here dear readers and for your kind comments over the year.....wishing you the very best for 2021...peace, happiness and of course good health....enjoy the quiet days and crafty times....stay safe while we all look forward with hope to spring, to the vaccines and to the end of the pandemic........sending lots of new year love to you all.....back soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  8. What a beautiful post. The flowers are a lovely addition after removing all the Christmas decor. I could read Miss Read books forever. I find them so relaxing. Happy New Year!

  11. Cozy and warm sounds wonderful - it has been snowing here pretty much all day, but just 'lightly down' :). Love your pretty pictures and spring flowers and your beautiful star blocks. Everything is just lovely.
