You could be a travel agent, you've sold me on wanting to visit this beautiful area! The daffodils are delightful, mine have been budding for weeks, through rain and sleet and snow ;) Wish I were there to share tea, thanks for sharing your pictures they're delightful!

Hi Helen
everything looks lovely wish I was there.
I'm off a big adventure on sunday.
We flying out to Spain to live part of the year there.
Helen,
What a lovely holiday retreat. Love the pictures of the little villages and countryside. My husband and I love little road trips through small towns on quiet roads rather than the busy interstate highways. So much more to see and enjoy.
Of course, I always love seeing the beautiful crochet projects you are working on. What beautiful colors!
Thank you for sharing.

What a pretty place to go to relax! I recognize the place names from reading the Beatrix Potter books by Susan Wittig Albert. Our flowers are just coming up, no blossoms yet. But soon! Have a great week!
Looks like you've had a fabulous time...nothing like the countryside and a little R & R to recharge the batteries :) love the colours in your crochet x
It sounds as though the break has done you a world of good Helen, I'm so pleased for you. Your crafty batteries have been restored. Take it easy and enjoy finding your inspiration. What a super little water painting you did. Much love xx
Your getaway looks so like it was a ton of fun...oh and those tulips wrapped in paper?? Sweet!!
such a lovely post, with beautiful pictures - I was just mentioning to my hubby the other day - we should go back, as we havent visited for ages xx
It looks like you had a very nice trip, Helen. I love all the spring things and pastel colors in your post today. I hope you have a good week.
Welcome Home, Helen! I imagined you having a lovely time last week, and it was a treat to read this post and see some of what you saw in your travels. I was surprised to see snow on the surrounding mountains and especially enjoyed seeing the stalwart sheep happy in his chilly environment. I loved the glimpse of your artist's journal and your pretty crochet and flowers as well. I am thinking about taking a water color class at the local junior college, and am hoping to work more on drawing more flowers in Rose's album Thurs. through Sunday at a house retreat with three other fiends a few blocks from the sea. Cheering on your creative efforts!xxxxx
How incredibly lovely! You are truly blessed!
So glad you & Mr P had a lovely time - not forgetting Miss Molly, of course - and I think I spotted the Tailor of Gloucester too if I'm not mistaken!
Sigh - I love the Lake district - my favourite place in the world. We are so lucky to live only a 2 hour drive from such beauty.

I just finished Bill Bryson's "Road To Little Dribbling" where he spent a bit of time in the lake district noting the places you managed to stay at. Sounds beautiful.

Your getaway looks delightful. I usually return from time away filled with ideas and creativity. Stepping back from every day life often does that. Isn't it lovely to see the spring flowers and the lengthening days?
