Spring Bunnies

I've been making some new bunnies lately, maybe it's the time of year... this is Flora.....
                                                                And this one is Primrose....
                                                                Here they are together...
I've been trying to work out the best pattern for the head shapes, one that looks sweet not scary! I think Flora is the closest I've got so far...I'm very fond of the bunnies! Hope you like seeing them too.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend with sunshine and springtime and flowers. Thanks for popping by to visit and for your sweet comments. xxxxx

  1. Hello. Thanks for popping over to MagicBeans. I love love your bunnies- the head shape is perfect. My fave is the dear little one with a cardi and 50's skirt. What lucky grandchildren you have with such a stitchy grannie! Be back soon, Ax

  2. Hi Helen, I just adore your bunnies and their outfits are always so colorful and cute. My fav is also the cardi and skirt. I love your fabrics, I would love to go fabric shopping with you. The head seems sweet with the rosy cheeks and the curves are not harsh. I think you have mastered it!!! Also love the buttons on the cardi, all the details do not go unnoticed. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and will be checking in later.

  4. Oh Helen - what can I say about Primrose's pink cardi? You have inspired me to make a second bunny from your book and see if I can knit her a cardi too - perhaps you can include the knitting pattern in your next book!!A pal recently sent me a packet of heart shaped buttons so at least I have a start!
It's a pink day here all round as I've put pink tulips on the kitchen table and pink primroses in a tub by my front door.
Thank you for the lovely pics.

  9. They are a delight ! I agree that Flora has the nicer face and sweeter expression but any little (and not so little) girl would fall fast in love with either.
their clothes are adorable, I too love the teeny pink cardigan. I have knitted many a dolly/ teddy sweater but never managed a cardie1 got to give that a go!
Any chance you could talk your publisher into a toy book ? I am sure there would be a queue to buy a copy.
    Have a good weekend,
    Susan xx

  22. Hi Helen - thanks for your comment on Bustle & Sew - I just had to pop over to see your blog - those bunnies are adorable! I love the Kindle cover too - I'm a total kindle addict, mine came in so useful when I was delayed in the snow trying to fly into Heathrow!! Just kept downloading more reading material and smiling smugly at Townie Husband and daughter who were sooooo bored. Will visit again soon. Helen x

Thanks for your comment regarding my quilt.
I think I shall leave my backing/quilting choices for a while.

I do hope spring is on its way, its very grim here today.
